Production . . .
Traditionally speaking, (executive) producers were hired by record labels to oversee various aspects of the record making process, including both artistic and business-orientated operations.
This service can be tailored to suit all artist’s needs, whether you’re simply a studio day-tripper who’s putting something together for your own pleasure or you are hoping to approach record labels, radio stations and other forms of mass media distribution with your work.
The recording experience, enthralling though it may be, can test even the most experienced live performers, especially if it’s your first time in the studio. It is commonplace for bands to become so caught up in decisions and minor details that their overall directive can easily become lost in the chaos. On an organisational front, I stem from an engineering background, accordingly, my organisational skills and problem solving bent of mind effectively lend themselves to a complex of recording session demands from finance and scheduling right through to combatting technical difficulties.
On an artistic level, I’m very comfortable working with other artists but more importantly; I’m all about forging a comfortable environment and relationship between the artist(s) and I in an effort to elicit the best performances possible. Furthermore, my guidance can be helpful in sculpting loose artistic ideas into a cohesive whole. For those of you approaching labels, radio stations, etc. it can also be useful to have an objective overseer of your work, monitoring the song’s commercial prospects and having dealt with A&R in the past, I know the standard that is expected.
